Proverbs 12:25
September 14, 2020

Anxiety in a mans heart weighs it down, but an encouraging word makes it glad.

Proverbs 12:25

The Bible teaches us that anxiety brings a heaviness to a person's life. The dictionary defines anxiety as ..."a state of uneasiness; worry...abnormal fear that lacks specific cause." To be anxious is to be worried, disquieted, or distracted. How many of you are feeling anxious in 2020? Satan wants us to feel fearful and anxious, he wants to place this stronghold in our lives to prevent us from doing what God has planned for us. He wants to distract us. Satan wants to keep us from focusing our attention on the good things God has given us. He wants to keep us from enjoying our relationship with the Lord and the abundant life Jesus died to provide us. Don't let you heart be heavy today, ask God today to guard and protect your heart from being anxious and fearful. Learning to enjoy life even in the midst of trying circumstances is one way we develop spiritual maturity. ~ April
