Ephesians 6:16

When the devil is attacking , we dare not be passive and do nothing. I was having a rotten day the other day. I had what I like to call "stinking thinking" I had the worst attitude. My attitude was so bad that I didn't even want to be around myself. I went off to my quite spot and just had a talk with Jesus. It was in that moment that I realized I was letting Satan get the best of me. God reminded me of all the things I had to be thankful for and how truly blessed I really was. Needless to say, I felt a little silly after that. But it reminded me of my "SHIELD OF FAITH" and how I needed to hold that up on the onset of his attack on me. The Holy Spirit made me aware of what was happening and I released my faith in God by remembering the faithfulness of God and trusting Him to take care of everything that was attempting to annoy me. I also replaced the wrong thoughts with good ones, because that is one way we overcome evil. James 4:7 says, Resist the devil and he will flee. No matter what lie the devil is whispering in your mind, don't believe him. But instead wield the sword of the spirit that is the Word of God. Replace thoughts of criticism with thoughts of humility and love. Replace fear and worry with trust and confidence. Faith is a shield and it will protect us in every battle is we will "lift:" it up by simply declaring we trust in God.
