Ephesians 4:32

God provides us with so many wonderful gifts. One gift that I am truly thankful for is the gift of forgiveness. I think of my own life and all the things in my life I regret doing. I am thankful we have a merciful Father who loves us so much and is willing to forgive us of all our mistakes when we repent of them. Then, I think of others who have hurt me in my life. Sometimes it's hard to think of forgiving the people who have hurt us so badly. But, God's Word clearly tells us in this verse that we are to be kind, compassionate, and forgiving to others, just as He has forgiven us. If God can forgive me of my past mistakes, then who am I not to forgive someone who has hurt me. When we don't forgive, we become bitter and it hardens our hearts. It's hard for God to use us when we have a hard heart. If there is someone you are needing to forgive today, open up your heart and ask God to help you forgive that person.
