Colossians 2:7
December 28, 2021

Having been deeply rooted (in Him) and now being continually built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were taught and overflowing in it with gratitude.

Colossians 2:7

When we have a garden or flower bed we have to pull out the bad weeds before they get too rooted and start to take over ruining our garden. The same thing is true in our lives. There are good seeds and bad seeds. Things we don't want to get rooted in our lives. When we experience a thought or emotion, a behavior, or a fear that we don't want to become a permanent fixture, the best thing to do is resist it at its onset. Be aggressive in confronting it and firm in our decision not to give into it. Always remember that the longer you let something linger, the longer it will take to get rid of it. If there are bad seeds that have been planted in your life, it's time to dig them up and get rid of them.
