1 Peter 5:8

One way we let the devil take advantage of us is through fear. In fact, I believe it is the number one weapon he uses against us. He loves to create this stronghold over our lives, because it slows us down, causes us stress, anxiety and in some cases even depression. When this happens we are also taking our focus off of God, which Satan loves to do. We must resist the devil or he will ruin our lives with his lies if we believe them. We are to stand firm against the devil, be strong, watchful to make sure he does not devour us. In the bible James 4:7 says Submit yourselves therefore to God, Resist the devil and he will flee from you. The only force that overcomes fear is faith. Every time you feel afraid, remember that the fear is coming from Satan. Fear does not come from God. Pray for God to take away your fear, and trust that He is always with you. All you have to do is just simply say Jesus! The only power that Satan has over you, is the power you allow him to have.
