HOPE Addiction Support Group

1201 East Unaka Ave., Johnson City, TN 37601
This group is designed to provide a safe place for those who suffer from substance use disorder – to congregate and develop new friendships – as we work together to prevent relapse. And, it is out hope to help improve one’s quality of life – spiritually, physically, and mentally.
We hope to provide love and care in a non-judgmental, non-intimidating, and welcoming atmosphere. This is open to individuals suffering from substance use disorder, as well as their families, friends, and anyone who is affected by this devastating disease.
Initially, the group will be facilitated by Dr. Bob Allen who has had personal experience dealing with substances with addiction potential. The format and programs are not rigidly structured, and participation is encouraged but not mandatory for those in attendance. Suffering from an addiction is not a mandatory prerequisite.
“The main goal is to give HOPE to those who suffer and are affected by this disorder – HOPE for treating, HOPE for curing, HOPE for a better quality of life for today and onward” (BA)
When expressed to a colleague, she said, “Well, that’s how I live. I go with the light that is leading me …. sometimes it’s dim and sometimes it’s bright, but I seem to find my way.” (LL)
